Based on Niagara County ArcGIS records as of 12/30/25. A street-by-street look at the recorded ages of North Tonawanda’s present building stock.

This is a portrait of what survives—not everything that was ever built. A parcel’s “year built” describes the building or improvement recorded there today. Buildings that were demolished, replaced, lost to fire or redevelopment, or otherwise no longer represented in the current parcel record are absent. So these charts show the age of surviving houses and other buildings by street, not the complete history of construction or the date a street was first laid out. Assessor dates can also be approximate; the three records marked 1800 are retained exactly as supplied.

How old is the surviving stock on each street?

Every dot is a street. Horizontal position is the median recorded year of its present buildings; vertical position is the number of parcel records. Streets with older surviving fabric sit left; streets whose present stock is mostly postwar sit farther right. This does not mean the street itself is that age.
